Job summary

Bimplus in the UK is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out to manage commercial aspects on a range of fit-out projects across sectors including office, retail and education.

You will monitor site progress, produce monthly valuations, manage budget constraints and maintain client relationships on schemes valued from £100k to £10m. Strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within fit out, plastering, drylining, ceilings etc
• Strong understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with fit out projects for various sectors such as; commercial, office space, residential, retail, and refurbishment fit-out
• Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto payment applications
• Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews
• Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
• Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to actual progress on site
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff
• Working on projects ranging in value from £100k – £10m

The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out with:

• Must have Quantity Surveying experience within fit out, plastering, drylining, ceilings etc
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Would consider a more junior/trainee with commercial experience with fit out or a quantity surveying graduate
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who also works well individually
