Job summary

Balfour Beatty in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Regional Scotland team on an Education Build Project. Based in Glasgow, you will support the commercial delivery with the project team, customers and supply-chain partners.

The role requires a track record in building, structural or complex construction projects, with ownership of work packages and strong cost reporting and valuation skills.

Qualifications

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with building, structural or major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, recording and valuing works in line with contractual requirements.
• Managing commercial performance of work packages.
• Preparing cost-value reconciliations, forecasts and reports.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and works information.
• Procuring subcontractors and managing enquiries, tenders and adjudications.
• Managing subcontract accounts, valuations and final accounts.
