Regional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Midlands construction company. This role offers responsibility for managing project costs from inception to completion, maximising profitability and supporting successful delivery across a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing all project costs from tender stage through to final account.
• Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
• Reviewing contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Negotiating subcontractor packages and procurement schedules.
• Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Monitoring project expenditure and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and cost control measures.
• Attending client, contractor and site meetings when required.
• Producing monthly financial reports for senior management.
• Assisting with dispute resolution and final account negotiations.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.
