Job Description

We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile aviation project in west London.

Job Objectives

• Manage sub-programme contract commercial & cost activities, ensuring the appropriateness and viability of contract information.
• Support procurement to achieve best value, developing delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards, including incentivization.
• Provide advice post-tendering or negotiations for sound supplier selection decisions.
• Manage all post-contract commercial activities, supporting contract changes, instructed work scope changes, and fee recommendations.
• Assist contractors in maintaining transparency and data integrity to minimize risks.
• Manage potential liabilities through timely responses to contractor notifications.
• Approve applications for payment and proactively resolve contractual issues, escalating disputes as needed.
• Evaluate cost impacts of alternative delivery strategies, including benchmarking.
• Provide support and guidance to the Cost & Commercial team.
• Oversee contract close-out activities in line with client requirements.
• Promote best practices within the sub-programme.
• Adhere to client processes and sub-programme procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate experience in:

• Tendering, procurement, target price negotiation, tier 2 procurement, NEC contract management, valuations, claims.
• Previous airport project experience is advantageous.
