Whiteoak Associates, a specialist contractor designing, fabricating & installing glazing and structural steel for Commercial Office and Residential Developers, seeks a Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years UK construction experience. Based near Reading, you will travel to site and work with Sales, Design, Production, Project Management and clients.

The successful candidate will hold a QS or related qualification; have contract admin, budgeting, procurement experience; knowledge of JCT terms; and will

Job description

This specialist contractor design, fabricate & install a range of Architectural Glazing & Structural Steel work across the Commercial Office & Residential Developer sectors.

As a result of expansion they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with 5 years + UK Construction sectir experience to work closely with the Senior Leadership team.

Based from an office near Reading & travelling to different sites you will be involved with each Project at Pre Contract stage & will be required to work closely with the Sales, Design, Production, Project Management teams, as well as commercial stakeholders within Principal Contractors and clients

To be successful the candidate must have/be all of the following:

• Quantity Surveying or Construction related qualification
• Experience working as Project QS within a Construction Contractor, Principal Contractor or onstruction Material Manufacturer.
• Substantial experience in undertaking the financial management, procurement and administration of contracts
• Experience in managing project budgets and setting up financial controls
• Demonstrable skills to undertake contract administration
• Knowledge of JCT contract terms and conditions ( and variations of)
