Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience in civil engineering, highways, surfacing or groundworks.
• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Strong understanding of contracts and cost management.
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong numeracy, analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Competent IT skills, including Excel and reporting systems.
• Full UK driving licence; travel to sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of allocated civil engineering, highways and surfacing projects.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare cost/value reconciliations and forecasts.
• Value variations and manage subcontractor accounts.
• Manage procurement of subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Attend project and commercial meetings and report on financial performance.
• Support final accounts and commercial disputes resolution.
