Building Careers UK Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our civil engineering and surfacing team in Manchester.

You will assist with day-to-day commercial management, cost control, valuations, subcontractor management, and final accounts, gaining exposure to budgets and cost reporting while supporting project delivery.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the commercial management of civil engineering, highways and surfacing projects.
• Support the preparation and submission of applications for payment and interim valuations.
• Help monitor project costs, budgets and expenditure to ensure financial performance is on track.
• Assist with the preparation of cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Support the procurement and commercial management of subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Assist with measuring and valuing completed works, variations and additional works.
• Help manage subcontractor applications, payments and final accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, contractual correspondence and commercial information.
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate cost information.
• Identify potential commercial risks and bring any issues to the attention of senior commercial colleagues.
• Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Develop an understanding of contractual obligations, commercial procedures and risk management.
• Contribute to improving cost control and the overall commercial performance of projects.
