Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction consultancy across Wales. You will manage commercial aspects from inception to final account, including cost planning, procurement and contract administration, ensuring projects stay within budget.

The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 DOE, a strong pipeline of projects, and opportunities to progress within a forward-thinking practice.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in consultancy/private practice as a Quantity Surveyor.
• MRICS status pursued or Chartered preferred.
• Proven client-facing and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing cost consultancy services across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, estimates and feasibility reports.
• Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes.
• Undertaking valuations, cost reporting and change control management.
• Administering contracts and advising clients on commercial matters.
• Attending client meetings and building stakeholder relationships.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Contributing to the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of projects.
