Job summary

Fulkers Bailey Russell in Bristol is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our private sector consultancy. You will oversee construction projects from outset to completion, focusing on cost management, tendering and value engineering to deliver on time and on budget.

Qualifications

Degree qualification with RICS accreditation or equivalent.
MRICS status achieved or being pursued.
Experience in construction industry with cost management focus.

Responsibilities

Produce and manage cost plans, life cycle costing, cash flows and benchmarking.
Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, procurement reports and manage tender process.
Obtain supplier quotations and maintain cost databases and risk registers.
Lead post-contract duties including valuations, cost reporting and final accounts.
Act as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent and manage post-contract admin.
Attend client meetings and site visits with project teams.
Ensure QA processes and best practice standards are followed.
Mentor Assistant Surveyors and support team development.
Support health and safety compliance and social/environmental impact efforts.
Contribute to business development and client relationships.
