Job summary

Fulkers Bailey Russell in Bristol is seeking a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction consultancy on a hybrid basis. You will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost control, value engineering and client satisfaction across the Public and Private sectors.

As part of a supportive team, you will develop cost plans, manage tender processes, and mentor junior surveyors while contributing to our sustainability and social impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree required with RICS accreditation or equivalent.
• MRICS status or progression with support from the employer.
• Strong grounding in cost management and contract knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage cost plans, life cycle costing, cash flows and benchmarking using Cost-X and BIM.
• Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, procurement reports and manage full tender process including evaluations.
• Obtain supplier quotations and maintain accurate cost databases and risk registers.
• Lead post-contract duties including valuations, cost reporting, change control, final accounts and variations.
• Act as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent, including issuing instructions, snagging, certificates and post-contract admin.
• Attend client meetings and site visits, liaising with consultants and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and best practice standards.
• Mentor and support Assistant Surveyors and develop leadership skills.
