Job summary

Velocity Recruitment Ltd partners with a well-established contractor delivering refurbishment and remediation projects for social housing across London and surrounding regions. The role focuses on commercial leadership, cost control and value delivery across multiple social and affordable housing refurbishments.

You will take commercial responsibility from procurement through to final account, liaising with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required

Qualifications

• Experience delivering refurbishment and remediation projects.
• Strong cost management and commercial performance tracking.
• Proven ability to procure and manage subcontractor packages.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs and commercial performance throughout refurbishment/remediation works.
• Preparing and submitting valuations and variations to budgets.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Producing cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account.

Quantity Surveyor - Affordable Housing Refurbishment

A recognised main contractor specialising in the affordable housing sector is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and remediation projects for housing associations and local authorities across London and the surrounding regions. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for refurbishment and remediation projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

• Managing project costs and commercial performance
• Preparing and submitting valuations and variations
• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
• Producing cost reports and forecasts
• Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account
• Supporting the wider project team to ensure successful delivery of works

Projects

You will work across a range of social and affordable housing refurbishment programmes, including:

• Cladding remediation projects
• Planned refurbishment works
• Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) programmes
• External envelope and energy efficiency upgrades
