Job summary

Versa Consulting Limited in Bristol is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a strong pipeline of secured civil engineering and groundworks projects. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to take commercial ownership from inception to final account, working closely with operational teams and senior management.

You will manage multiple civil engineering and groundworks projects with NEC contract knowledge, ensuring commercial success through procurement, payments, cost

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Proven track record managing projects from inception through to final account.
• Commercially astute and capable of working independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for multiple civil engineering and groundworks projects.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial management.
• Manage variations and change control.
• Agree final accounts with clients and stakeholders.

Quantity Surveyor - Civils & Groundworks

A well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a strong pipeline of secured work across Bristol.

Working on infrastructure, roads, bulk earthworks and groundworks packages, you'll join a profitable, privately owned business with long-term secured projects and a reputation for delivering high-quality work throughout the region.

This role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to take commercial ownership of projects from start to final account, working closely with operational teams and senior management.

The Role

• Full commercial responsibility for multiple civil engineering and groundworks projects
• Subcontract procurement and management
• Preparation and submission of applications for payment
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial management
• Management of variations and change control
• Agreement of final accounts
• Liaising with site teams, clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery
