Job summary

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major, long-term infrastructure project in Kent. The role focuses on delivering robust commercial management across packages and collaborating with the wider project team.

You will manage payments, cost forecasting, CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasting and change control, while overseeing subcontractors and procurement.

Qualifications

  • Experience working for a main contractor or specialist contractor.
  • Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or heavy engineering.
  • Good knowledge of commercial management and contract administration.
  • Experience managing subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and change.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong Excel and commercial reporting capabilities.
  • NEC experience would be advantageous.

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major, long-term infrastructure project in Kent.

The project provides an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a complex delivery environment, taking responsibility for the commercial management of their own packages while working closely with the wider project team.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the successful commercial delivery of the project, including:

  • Managing applications for payment and associated processes
  • Cost forecasting and financial reporting
  • Preparation and management of CVRs
  • Cost-to-complete forecasting
  • Managing change control and variations
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk
  • Managing the subcontract lifecycle
  • Procurement and subcontract negotiation

About You
