Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor in the Hertfordshire/Essex area. The client delivers planned maintenance, internals refurbishment and retrofit projects with a turnover over £50 million per annum.

They are offering a permanent role with a salary up to £60,000 plus package. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of QS experience, with opportunities for progression as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Willingness to step up from Assistant Quantity Surveyor with proven potential.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and budgeting.
• Set up and close out contracts commercially.
• Liaise with operations to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts.
• Work with NHF Schedule of Rates.
• Approve subcontractor and supplier payments.
• Attend progress meetings with clients on site.
• Regular site visits.
• Oversee P&L with operational leads.
• Manage cash flow.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Up to £60,000 Plus Package

Our client, an construction contractor based in the Hertfordshire/Essex area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £50 million Per Annum. They currently deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site visits
• Overlook P & L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
