Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing main contractor in Ringwood, Hampshire. You will take ownership of live projects, manage commercial delivery, and develop strong ties with Directors and senior managers.

With exposure to diverse sectors including healthcare, commercial and refurbishment, you will oversee procurement, valuations, payments and cash flow, while supporting the commercial team’s continued growth and turnover ambitions.

Quantity Surveyor

Ringwood, Hampshire (Office Based with Site Visits Across the South)

£50,000 - £60,000 + Progression + Gym + Travel

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, work closely with the Directors and play a key role in the continued development of the commercial team.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of projects? Do you enjoy working within a smaller main contractor where you can work directly with senior people and have a real influence on the business? Are you looking for a position where you can develop towards Senior QS, Managing Surveyor and even Director level?

This growing main contractor delivers a varied range of projects across the South, including high-end motor retail, healthcare, industrial, commercial and refurbishment projects. With a strong level of repeat and referral work, the business has continued to grow steadily and has ambitious plans to increase its turnover over the coming years. As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of live projects, covering procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations, payments, cashflow and cost control. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, site teams and subcontractors, while also having direct exposure to the Directors and senior members of the business.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with main contracting experience who enjoys variety, responsibility and being involved across the full commercial process. Experience across commercial, industrial, motor retail, healthcare, or similar projects would be beneficial, with an understanding of JCT contracts being essential.
