Job summary

Reinforced Recruitment LTD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for projects across the South East, based from Radlett with site visits. Lead commercial elements from tender to final account on shell, core and data sector schemes worth £1m–£10m.

You will manage procurement, cost control, CVRs, variations and final accounts, working closely with site teams to protect commercial position and ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' relevant QS experience, ideally with a main or specialist contractor.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, particularly Design & Build.
• Experience in procurement, valuations, CVRs, variations and final accounts.
• Able to work with site teams and read drawings/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: tendering subcontract packages, reviewing quotes and negotiating orders.
• Cost management: valuations, payment applications, variations and cost control.
• Commercial reporting: CVRs, forecasting and regular project updates.
• Contract administration: managing JCT contracts through to final account.
• Project collaboration: working with site teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants to resolve commercial issues.
• Risk management: reviewing drawings, specifications and site progress to identify changes and protect the project's position.

Why This Role Matters

A growing contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team as its order book develops. The business delivers £1m-£10m shell and core projects across the commercial, industrial and data sectors, taking schemes from groundworks through to handover for M&E installation.

This is an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants ownership of their projects and enjoys working closely with the people delivering them on site.

The Role – What You'll Be Doing

Based from the Radlett office, with visits to sites across the South East, you'll manage the commercial side of projects from tender through to final account.

What You Need

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
• At least 3-5 years' relevant QS experience, ideally with a main or specialist contractor
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, particularly Design & Build
• Experience in procurement, valuations, CVRs, variations and final accounts
• Practical construction knowledge and confidence working with site teams
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to read drawings and specifications
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience in groundworks, RC frames, civils, NEC contracts or pre-construction would be an advantage
• Above all, you'll need to be commercially sharp, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility
