Job summary

Utilise Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a well-established infrastructure and environmental contractor to appoint a Quantity Surveyor.

You will take ownership of the commercial management of multiple projects across highways, civil engineering, utilities and environmental works, ensuring value for money and robust contract performance. The role involves producing valuations and payments, monitoring budgets and forecasts, managing variations and NEC contract administration, and advising

Qualifications

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within highways, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, landscaping or similar contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial management principles and cost control.
  • Experience working under NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
  • Knowledge of valuations, forecasting, variations and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the South, Midlands and wider UK as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with final account negotiations and project close-out activities.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across commercial processes and procedures.

Quantity Surveyor

Up to £65,000 Basic + Package

We are delighted to be working with a well-established infrastructure and environmental contractor that is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse range of projects across civil engineering, highways, environmental improvement, landscaping and infrastructure works. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently from a commercial perspective, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from contract award through to final account.

About You
