Kenton Black Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering contractor, working on a major highways infrastructure project along the A66 in Cumbria. The role is based in Penrith, Cumbria and offers a salary up to £50,000 plus a company benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience with highways, roads or major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of subcontract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of assigned civil engineering packages.
• Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, variations and change control.
• Support the preparation and submission of applications for payment.
• Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are followed.
• Work closely with site teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, working on a major highways infrastructure project along the A66 in Cumbria.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the wider commercial and operational teams to manage project costs, contractual obligations and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
