Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, working on a major highways project along the A66 in Cumbria, near Penrith.

You will work with commercial and operational teams to manage project costs, contracts, budgets and financial performance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience with highways, roads or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of subcontract management, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of assigned civil engineering packages.
• Assist with the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, variations and change control.
• Support the preparation and submission of applications for payment.

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, working on a major highways infrastructure project along the A66 in Cumbria.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the wider commercial and operational teams to manage project costs, contractual obligations and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
