Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Build division on a North London project. The role requires delivering a full QS service, managing cost plans, and offering technical cost and contract support to ensure commercial success.

The ideal candidate has accredited RICS/CIOB/ICES status, experience with NEC3/JCT contracts, and strong communication under pressure. We value initiative and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in Build projects.
• RICS/CIOB/ICES accreditation.
• Experience with on-site measurements.
• Knowledge of NEC3 and JCT contracts.
• Good communication and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full quantity surveying service for the project.
• Develop and maintain cost plans; provide cost, contractual and commercial support.
• Support project teams with commercial insight and timely reporting.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Build division working on a project in North London.

The Quantity Surveyor will provide a full quantity surveying service and is responsible for managing cost plan development and maintenance, providing technical cost, contractual and commercial support to the project.

About you

• Relevant experience working in Build
• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Experience of onsite measures
• NEC3 Option A form of contract and subcontract conditions
• JCT Design & Build and JCT Standard Building Contract experience
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Good communicator
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
