Job summary

Kier's Water Framework team in Harpenden, Hertfordshire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial management across a range of infrastructure projects. We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of construction projects within our Water Framework. Working closely with the project delivery team, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through to successful project completion. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills whilst contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, You'll Be Working Within The Commercial Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Contractual Control And Cost Management Across Diverse Projects. Your Day To Day Will Include

• Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Managing commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement through to interim and final account agreement
• Being involved in final account negotiations to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
• Promoting wellbeing within your team and fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouraged

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree
• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor
• You have experience with a variety of contract forms
