Job summary

Kier Group in Horton-Cum-Studley, Oxfordshire is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team. You will support commercial management during the construction phase, ensuring delivery on time and within budget, while collaborating with the wider project team.

The role requires a construction-related degree, a full driving licence, and experience in a contractor environment (ideally with MEP exposure) with exposure to multiple contract forms.

• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts with monthly cost reports
• Providing legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration
• Driving commercial initiatives and producing margin improvement plans to maximize opportunities
• Leading and supporting junior staff, ensuring workload targets and deadlines are successfully met

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Horton-Cum-Studley, Oxfordshire.

Location: Horton-Cum-Studley, Oxfordshire

Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within our commercial team on an exciting Water Framework project. You'll play a key role in assisting with the commercial management during the construction phase, ensuring successful delivery while working collaboratively with the wider team.

What will you be responsible for?

What are we looking for?

• You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree
• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure
• You have experience working with a variety of contract forms
• You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
