Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in North Yorkshire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established highways and infrastructure team. Hybrid role with strong pipeline and opportunities for career progression.

As part of the commercial delivery of a portfolio of highways projects, you will manage NEC contracts, cost forecasting, subcontractor administration and final accounts while working with operational teams to maximise project performance in a supportive, growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways, civil engineering, groundworks or surfacing is preferred.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 desirable).
• HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of highways and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
• Forecast project costs and produce commercial reports.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Assess and agree subcontractor accounts.
• Administer NEC contracts and contractual correspondence.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to maximise project performance.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial delivery of a portfolio of highways projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure schemes are delivered successfully from procurement through to final account.

Working under NEC contracts, you'll play a key role in cost management, subcontractor administration, forecasting and financial reporting, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supply chain partners.
