Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong groundworks background to own the commercial side of multiple groundworks schemes. The role involves pricing works on site, managing JCT contracts, and producing valuations and cash flow forecasts across sites in Kent and Surrey.

You will travel between sites, oversee subcontractor payments and final accounts, and report costs and risks to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong track record as a Quantity Surveyor in groundworks or civils.
• Experience on residential groundworks schemes (highly desirable).
• Hands-on JCT contract experience.
• Confidence pricing works on site.
• Ability to juggle multiple sites across Kent and Surrey.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A relevant degree or HNC (desirable).

Job description

A Quantity Surveyor is needed immediately by a civil engineering contractor with a head office in Croydon and live sites throughout Kent and Surrey. The successful Quantity Surveyor will earn up to £90,000 and take commercial ownership of groundworks schemes from start to finish.

What the Quantity Surveyor will do

• Travel to sites across Kent and Surrey to price upcoming and ongoing works
