Job summary

Brightwork Limited in Coatbridge is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their civils team, supporting commercial management on groundworks projects and ensuring profitable delivery.

You will prepare valuations, measure works, manage subcontractor payments, assist with tendering, and liaise with site teams and clients; office-based role with regular site visits.

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundworks or civils.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our client is currently seeking a motivated and talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team within the civils sector. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of projects, working closely with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

• Prepare valuations, cost reports, and variations
• Measure works completed and assess subcontractor payments
• Support tendering and pricing activities
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditure
• Liaise with site managers, clients, and suppliers
• Assist with contract administration and monthly reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (groundworks/civils experience preferred)
• Good understanding of construction processes and commercial principles
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QS software packages

Please note this will be an office based role (5 days) with regular visits to site.
