Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong groundworks background to own the commercial side of multiple groundworks schemes. The role involves pricing works on site, managing JCT contracts, and producing valuations and cash flow forecasts across sites in Kent and Surrey.

You will travel between sites, oversee subcontractor payments and final accounts, and report costs and risks to senior management.

Qualifications

Strong track record as a Quantity Surveyor in groundworks or civils.
Experience on residential groundworks schemes (highly desirable).
Hands-on JCT contract experience.
Confidence pricing works on site.
Ability to juggle multiple sites across Kent and Surrey.
Full UK driving licence.
A relevant degree or HNC (desirable).

Responsibilities

Travel to sites across Kent and Surrey to price upcoming and ongoing works.
Run the commercial side of groundworks projects, from handover to final account.
Manage JCT contracts day to day, covering variations, valuations and notices.
Produce monthly valuations, CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
Carry out site measurement and agree valuations with the client.
Control subcontractor orders, payments and final accounts.
Report on costs and commercial risk to senior management.
