Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction in Coventry is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. You will manage procurement, valuations, final accounts and cash flow on education, healthcare, residential and commercial projects, ensuring profitability and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of QS or commercial experience, experience with subcontractors or specialist contractors, and strong negotiation and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' Quantity Surveying or commercial experience.
• Experience working for a subcontractor or specialist contractor.
• Education sector experience (preferred but not essential).

• Preparing applications for payment, valuations and final accounts

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

The business is keen to speak with candidates from a variety of construction backgrounds. Previous offsite or timber frame experience is beneficial but not essential.
