Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Quality Assurance professional for a factory/FMCG environment in York, UK. You will support the Nestlé quality system, manage quality processes, audits and documentation while driving continuous improvement across the site.

Ideal candidates will have a background in QA within FMCG, strong stakeholder engagement, and experience with ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000. The role emphasizes data-driven quality improvements and strong compliance.

Qualifications

• Evidence working with and improving Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000).
• Ability to evidence continuous improvement mindset and stakeholder engagement across a factory setting.
• Experience in auditing (internal/external) and quality documentation control.
• PowerBI and SAP knowledge is advantageous for quality data analysis and systems.
• Commitment to maintaining high quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Team to produce safe, compliant and “First Time Right” product.
• Minimise losses through systems co-ordination and improvement, coaching and verification.
• Work with the Quality Manager in reviewing and planning quality improvement across the factory.
• Own the site’s quality systems and external audits.
• Contribute to the factory Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with the Nestlé quality system.
• Review and plan quality improvement initiatives, identifying trends and themes to focus efforts on top issues.
• Review manufacturing records to ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Provide expertise in the Nestlé quality system and support factory Area Quality Managers.
• Manage sensory management, internal audits, document control and third-party audits.
• Act as a GLOBE QM superuser, provide training and conduct regular health checks
• Interact with the market team and internal and external auditing teams

Requirements

• Proven experience within quality assurance roles in a factory/FMCG environment
• Ideally holds a degree or equivalent in a Science, Engineering, or Quality related subject
• Ability to evidence working with and improving Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000)
• Ability to work with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across the factory setting to influence quality practices
• Ability to take a process, retrieve data, and identify opportunities and trends
• PowerBI knowledge considered an added advantage
• Proven SAP skills, ideally in factory or quality aspects
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
