Pilgrim's Europe in United Kingdom is recruiting a Quality Manager for the Windmill Lane site to lead the Quality team and ensure compliance with BRC and internal standards. You will drive the Technical Excellence agenda, maintain the Quality Management System, and support operations in issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of food safety and quality across the site.
  • Drive the Technical Excellence agenda to reduce hazards, risks, and incidents.
  • Promote “Go for Zero” by encouraging positive behaviours and coaching teams on safety.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and resourced to perform tasks safely.
  • Track, report, and improve quality and food safety performance metrics.
  • Prepare for and lead customer and standard audits (BRC, OPEX), aiming for A+ or Green grades.
  • Ensure implementation of all internal and external technical standards.
  • Provide technical support for factory issues, ensuring resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Lead the Food Safety and Quality Culture programme and deliver the Food Defence Plan.
  • Act as a HACCP Team Member, ensuring full implementation of HACCP and prerequisite programmes.
  • Develop structured succession and training plans aligned with site and group technical objectives.
  • Communicate goals and targets through MySuccess and team forums.
  • Recognise achievements and address performance issues discreetly.
  • Improve cultural survey results by acting on team feedback.
  • Set, raise, and confirm standards across safety, quality, environment, and manufacturing.
  • Use data analysis and OPEX tools to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Support site projects and gap-up activities.
  • Ensure compliance with technical systems (SAP, INNOVA, Foods Connected, Point 74).
  • Deliver and report Technical KPIs monthly.
