Job summary

Pailton Engineering, Coventry, is seeking a Quality Manager to own the quality management system across the site and serve as the primary contact for audits. You will drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions for military, bus and commercial vehicle components.

The role requires ISO 9001 auditing experience, APQP/PPAP familiarity, and strong problem-solving skills. This is a permanent, office-based role with some international travel.

Qualifications

• Must have quality management experience and warranty analysis
• Auditing experience certified to ISO 9001
• Practical experience with APQP and PPAP
• Strong use of structured problem-solving tools for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause investigations into quality issues across production and implement fixes
• Develop and maintain the site's quality management system and documentation
• Manage internal, third-party and customer audits from planning to close-out
• Assess new suppliers for quality performance and support new product introduction
• Drive APQP and PPAP across every project launch
• Apply problem-solving tools to cut waste and lift efficiency
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to align quality expectations
• Report quality trends to senior management and customers
