Job summary

EY Belfast is seeking a dedicated professional to join the UK&I Consulting Quality Team. You will support management of contractual, operational and regulatory risk across Consulting engagements and collaborate with Legal, Independence and Risk teams.

Reporting to the Belfast Team Leader, the role focuses on reviewing client agreements, NDAs and SOWs, guiding negotiations and ensuring compliance with EY policies. Strong communication and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing and interpreting commercial contracts and terms.
• Understanding of general UK contracting principles and practices.
• Experience managing operational, contractual or regulatory risk within a professional services or legal environment.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex risk and contractual matters using sound commercial judgement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk and Compliance functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and respond to queries in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide advice on client agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), subcontracts and NDAs.
• Support contract negotiations in accordance with EY's contract management policies and guidelines.
• Provide guidance on terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements, data protection, business relationships, liability provisions, subcontracting arrangements and third-party risk considerations.
• Act as a key point of contact for contractual and operational risk management queries.
• Identify, assess and manage operational and regulatory risks across client engagements.
• Escalate complex risk issues to General Counsel and specialist support when required.
• Support regulatory independence requirements during contracting activities.
• Assist with deployment of risk management projects and improvement programmes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Independence, Business Resilience and wider Quality teams.
• Build relationships with partners and senior stakeholders; support design and improvement of risk practices.
• Propose enhancements to Quality processes and contracting practices.
