Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Quality and Risk Management at Belfast for the Ireland Consulting business. The role focuses on reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, governance, and risk controls across engagements.

Ideal candidates have a Law degree or solicitor background with several years in corporate/commercial matters, and strong leadership, communication and project skills. Hybrid options and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A degree with 2:1 classification in Law with 6+ years’ experience advising on a broad range of business and legal matters.
• Qualified solicitor (Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland) with 4+ years PQE in corporate/commercial law.
• Proven track record of reviewing and advising on commercial contracts, including client/institutional engagements.
• Experience negotiating contracts and an awareness of risk areas in commercial contracts is desirable.
• Comfort with autonomy, leading meetings and proposing improvements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement teams in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts to EY terms or client/government contracts.
• Help implement governance to manage contracting lifecycle and service quality.
• Identify process improvements to mitigate risk and streamline workflows.
• Develop and deliver training on quality and risk management topics.
• Assist client onboarding with risk management tools and oversight committees.
• Review client contracts to ensure alignment with firm policy and identify strengthening areas.
• Coordinate with risk management teams on independence, legal, and financial crime matters.
• Advise engagement teams on risk mitigation in delivering consulting services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape enterprise-wide risk and quality management approaches.
