Job summary

Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Ltd is seeking a Certified Release Inspector to join the Quality team at our Sheffield site. You will ensure integrity and compliance of QA documentation supporting product certification and regulatory compliance.

You will maintain the Quality Management System and act as the customer's on-site representative during in-process quality gate reviews where delegated authority applies, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to keep

Qualifications

• Experience in document control, quality assurance, or inspection within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, controlled documentation, and traceability requirements.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident reviewing technical documentation and identifying gaps, errors, or non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Compile manufacturing data packs, inspection records, certificates, and final manufacturing record books.
• Track documentation against production milestones and support customer quality gate reviews.
• Maintain document control, version management, traceability, and configuration records.
• Support the management and closure of non-conformances, concessions, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Inspection, and Supply Chain teams to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and systems.
• Act as the customer's on-site representative where delegated authority arrangements apply.
