Cardiff Council’s Quality and Performance Team is seeking a part-time data and reporting specialist to support housing and communities performance. You will handle data from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy for reporting and performance management of internal teams and contractors.
The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organisational ability; familiarity with SAP is desirable. It is based in Cardiff and salary is pro-rated for part-time hours.
The Quality and Performance Team provide performance data, management information and quality assurance to the teams within the Housing and Communities Directorate. This includes Responsive Repairs, Voids Management, Compliance and The Building improvement Unit
The information handled by the team supports building safety and compliance and ensures an accurate record of current, previous, and future works in our council properties and any activities or documentation surrounding those works, such as inspections, surveys and certification.
The role involves producing a variety of reports, using large data sets that are taken from a collection of systems and databases. The team are responsible for ensuring information across the different systems is captured accurately and is in line with the processes set out by each operational team. Reports produced by the team are also used to enable performance management of our internal teams and external contractors.
SAP is the core system used by the team, and it is desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience in using this system.
The successful candidate will be very organised, have good attention to detail and have strong analytical skills.

This role is part-time at 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
