Job summary

Knight’s Companies is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to oversee QC for Ready-Mix across regions. The role ensures compliance with ASTM/ACI standards, manages QC staff, and coordinates with plant operations, dispatch, sales, and customers to guarantee product quality and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in QC for ready-mix concrete, and relevant certifications. Travel to multiple sites and effective leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience in ready-mixed concrete environment.
• NRMCA Concrete Technologist Level 3 Certification and DOT/ACI certifications to be completed within stated timelines.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications and ACI/ASTM guidelines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide QC teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and environmental policy compliance for the team.
• Lead day-to-day field operations and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop and implement quality control programs and performance standards.
• Monitor mix designs, raw materials, production processes, and product performance.
• Investigate customer complaints and provide resolution.
• Train and mentor QC technicians in sampling, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain documentation of testing results and calibrate equipment.
• Collaborate with plant operations, dispatch, sales, and customers to ensure product quality.
