Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group (CVS Vets) is seeking a Quality Officer to join our Quality team at our Newton Abbot site. You will support maintaining high standards, audit readiness and continual improvement across processes.

You will contribute to keeping QMS policies current, coordinate with site teams, and help drive accuracy in records and training. Training provided; travel between sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Mapping of temperature controlled equipment with ongoing checks.
• Equipment maintenance and calibrations for temperature monitoring.
• Auditing procedures and systems, including occasional external audits.
• Quality improvement and continual methodologies enhancements.
• Problem solving, investigations, and implementing improvements.
• Record keeping with clear, accurate documentation.
• Communication liaison between colleagues, managers and departments.
• Adherence to QMS policies per EN ISO 17025:2017 and document reviews.

Role Details: Quality Officer

Location: Axiom Veterinary Laboratory - Manor House, Newton Abbot, Devon, United Kingdom, TQ12 4PB

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, hours between 09.00 - 17.00

About the Role:

As a Quality Officer in our Quality team, you will be part of a small team dedicated to promoting quality and ensuring the high standards expected are continuously in place and improvements are sought at all times.

• Mapping of Temperature controlled equipment: Ongoing checks of any temperature controlled equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance & Calibrations: Ensuring all temperature monitoring equipment is calibrated and functioning within correct parameters for the tasks required.
• Auditing: There is a very robust and full audit schedule in place to check procedures, systems and processes throughout the site. We also audit occasionally at our sister site and may be required to do external audits.
• Quality Improvement: Our whole purpose is to look at how systems and processes can be improved and have a continual improvement of methodologies and procedures
• Problem Solving: A lot of the tasks require logical thinking and problem solving including completing investigations and putting improvements in place.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining clear and accurate records is key to this role and at the forefront of everything we do.
• Communication: Acting as a key liaison to ensure smooth information flow between colleagues, managers, and other departments and helping to promote Quality engagement on site.
• Awareness of and adherence to QMS policies, procedures and methods in accordance with EN ISO 17025:2017, including the regular review of documents and identification of any required updates.

Whilst previous experience working in quality is advantageous, it is not required for this role as full training will be given.
