Job description

Regional Quality Manager required for a Tier 1 contractor based in Berkshire. The company is one of the most successful privately owned profitable contractors in the country, with Southern operations based near Reading and a turnover exceeding £1 billion annually.

Project Portfolio
  1. Target schemes between £20 and £90 million on frameworks and repeat business opportunities with long-term clients.
  2. Identify and target single-stage regeneration and development schemes up to £150 million, including large schools, multi-phased education projects, student accommodation, PRS developments, high-rise office and residential schemes, distribution hubs, and large retail and leisure developments.
Role Responsibilities
  1. Provide quality and systems support throughout all project phases: bid, preconstruction, on-site delivery, commissioning, defects, and warranty periods.
  2. Manage the company's quality plan, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, external manufacturer requirements, and supply chain quality systems.
  3. Conduct on-site quality checks with delivery teams and subcontractors, audit and maintain NCR registers, and report on best practices.
  4. Update and manage the regional quality plan to ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry benchmarks.
  5. Investigate latent defects and compliance issues to facilitate continuous improvement strategies.
Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates have a background in QA/Inspection within construction or are construction professionals such as project or site managers with a strong interest in quality and continuous improvement practices.
