Job summary

Green Folk in Andover, England, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality function in a precision manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the ISO 9001 QMS, leading the Quality Team and driving continuous improvement across the business.

The successful candidate will have a quality management qualification or relevant experience, plus strong analytical and Excel skills, and the ability to engage at senior levels while handling a full workload

Qualifications

• Relevant Quality Management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a technical mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Deep understanding of quality management systems and standards.
• Experience with accreditation standards.
• Experience with process improvement, RCA, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Ability to engage with senior leaders.
• Calm under pressure and capable of handling workload.
• Ethical standards are important.

Responsibilities

• Lead QMS maintenance and improvement.
• Lead the Quality Team and drive continuous improvement.
• Support NPI activities with testing, FMEA, and quality planning.
• Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements.
• Manage supplier audits, approvals and performance monitoring.
• Support resolution of supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
• Lead customer quality audits and maintain customer relationships.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and third-party accreditations.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards and specs.
• Ensure quality requirements are understood and applied across the business.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances, concessions, rework and scrap reduction.
• Monitor quality metrics for trends and improvements.
• Utilise SPC, FMEA, 5S and RCA.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality function within a manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, leading the Quality Team and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Essential background needed for this Quality Manager role

• Relevant Quality Management qualification or relevant applicable experience of working
• within a quality management role.
• Experience in a Quality Manager role in an technical mechanical manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of quality management systems and standards
• Experience of introducing and auditing against accreditation standards.
• Experience of Business Process improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma
• methodologies
• Strong analytical & Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
• An ability to engage at the most senior levels on Quality related issues
• An ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a full workload

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager

• Support New Product Introduction activities, including testing requirements, FMEA reviews and production quality planning

• Utilise quality tools including SPC, FMEA, 5S and Root Cause Analysis.
