Prime Appointments Ltd is recruiting a Quality Manager for an established Aerospace Precision Engineering manufacturer in Southend-on-Sea. The role offers full autonomy to lead the Quality & Inspection department, with a 4-day week and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and customer quality liaison.

You will manage the AS9100 QMS, mentor the Inspection team, and act as Approved Signatory for product release, while driving zero-defect initiatives across calibrations and processes.

Qualifications

• Aerospace sector experience is essential.
• Strong AS9100/ISO9100 knowledge.
• Hands-on FAIR/LAIR experience.
• Proven leadership in inspection/quality.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the AS9100 QMS.
• Lead and mentor the Inspection team.
• Create/approve FAIR/LAIR documentation using VisualFAIR.
• Conduct internal/external AS9100 audits.
• Act as Approved Signatory for product release.
• Oversee calibration and qualification processes.
• Drive zero-defect/continuous improvement initiatives and serve as primary contact for customer quality matters.

Hours:37 hrs/wk (Monday to Thursday, Fridays off!)
