Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Quality Manager in Southend-on-Sea to drive quality performance and regulatory compliance. The role supports production, customers and ongoing improvement in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

The role requires AS9100 experience, FAIR approvals and internal audits, with leadership responsibilities and a focus on continuous improvement. 4-day week and up to £65k DOE are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality management requirements.
• Experience creating, reviewing and approving FAIRs and LAIRs.
• Experience planning and conducting internal audits.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Review and approve FAIRs/LAIRs and manage VisualFAIR documentation.
• Plan and perform internal audits; support customer and external audits.
• Oversee calibration, testing and qualification activities.
• Lead a small team of inspectors and review drawings/specifications.
• Support continuous improvement and management review meetings.

Quality Manager

Southend-on-Sea - Up to £65K DOE 4-Day Working Week

As theQuality Manager, you will play a key role in driving quality performance across the business whilst supporting production, customers and regulatory requirements. This is a highly varied position where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities for this Quality Manager role includes:

• Managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Creating, reviewing and approving FAIRs and LAIRs.
• Supporting and administering VisualFAIR documentation.
• Planning and conducting internal audits.
• Supporting customer and external audits.
• Managing calibration, testing and qualification activities.
• Leading and supporting a small team of skilled inspectors.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participating in management review meetings and supporting wider business objectives.

To be successful in thisQuality Managerrole, you will need:

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and quality requirements.
• Experience completing and approving FAIRs.
• Internal audit experience.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or team management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage changing priorities within a busy manufacturing environment.

Package for this Quality Manager role includes:

• Up to £65k -dependent on experience
• 4-day working week
• Monday to Thursday, 06:45am - 4:30pm
• 37-hour working week
• 16 days annual leave based on a 4-day working week (equivalent to 20 days for a standard 5-day week)
