Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a large manufacturing organisation in Milton Keynes. The role combines managing ongoing production issues with involvement in strategic programmes.

The successful candidate will lead a quality team, ensure ISO9001 compliance, drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma tools, and maintain the QMS within a modern, highly automated site.

Qualifications

• Competent quality professional with management experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• HNC or degree in a technical subject or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of quality systems with focus on ISO9001.
• Strong communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving with 8D, MSA, 5 Why.
• Lean Six Sigma tools knowledge; green belt desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality professionals in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Be first point of contact for external and internal customer concerns.
• Initiate 8D activity and delegate follow-up work.
• Audit systems and processes to ISO9001 standard.
• Use defect data to drive quality improvements.
• Identify areas for quality enhancements.
• Apply lean six sigma and lean tools to raise site quality and efficiency.
• Maintain and develop the QMS and quality structure.

Job Description:

• Lead a team of Quality professionals in a high volume manufacturing environment
• First point of contact for all external and internal customer concerns
• Instigation of 8D activity following customer concern and delegation of work to team thereafter
• Audit systems and processes to ISO9001 standard
• Utilise data of quality defects to improve quality processes
• Identify area for quality improvements
• Utilisation of six sigma/ lean tools to increase efficiencies and improve site quality
• Maintain and develop the QMS and quality structure

Experience:

You will already be a competent Quality professional with proven management experience within a high volume manufacturing environment.

• HNC/ Degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional level qualification
• Excellent knowledge of quality systems with particular focus on ISO9001
• Strong communicator internally and in liaison with demanding customers
• Strong understanding of Route Cause Analysis and structured problem solving tools - 8D, MSA, 5Why
• Excellent grasp of lean six sigma tools - green belt certification desirable
• Demonstrate leadership ability to coach and build self confidence in team
