Job description

Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our client known for sourcing and processing the finest quality products on the appointment of Quality Manager based on the Coast of County Down.

As the successful Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards in line with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internal guidelines. The role involves overseeing the small quality control team, implementing food safety protocols, and managing continuous improvement processes within the production facility.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of HACCP and BRC standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and customer requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve quality complaints or non-conformances.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation and records.
  • Provide training on food safety and quality procedures
  • Work collaboratively with production and technical teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a similar quality role within the food manufacturing sector, preferably seafood.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
