Job Opportunity: Quality Manager for A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme

Our Tier 1 client is seeking a Quality Manager to work on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement scheme. This project involves constructing a 10-mile dual carriageway between Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire to reduce congestion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project delivery through detailed design, construction, and handover stages.
• Ensure the adequacy of the project Quality system, maintaining and developing quality processes and procedures.
• Conduct regular quality audits and ensure prompt closure of audit findings.
• Own and develop the scheme Quality Plan, ensuring its relevance throughout all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Plan and foster a quality-focused culture within the delivery team.
• Assist the Works Inspector in assessing on-site quality and compliance with the design.
• Work closely with Construction Managers, Agents, and the supply chain to ensure inspection and testing requirements are understood and met.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and understand engineering principles and construction methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Formal training in quality management and auditing.
• CSCS Card.
• Membership of or working towards Chartered Quality Professional (CQI) status.
