Job summary

Oliver Valves Ltd. in Knutsford is seeking a Quality & Maintenance Team Leader to oversee calibration and maintenance activities. You will allocate work, coordinate planned and reactive tasks, and manage internal and subcontracted calibration to ensure assets stay within spec.

You will lead a small team, maintain records, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. The role is based on-site in Knutsford with regular hours.

Qualifications

• Understanding of calibration systems and processes.
• Knowledge of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Understanding of asset management and equipment maintenance systems.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Clear communication skills and confidence to work with colleagues and subcontractors.
• Good IT skills and thorough record keeping.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Experience monitoring performance measures and identifying improvements.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and prioritise work for QA Technician and Maintenance Technician.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Manage internal and subcontracted calibration activities to keep equipment within calibration periods.
• Maintain asset register and identify inspection, calibration, and maintenance needs for new equipment.
• Monitor equipment reliability and availability to reduce breakdowns and improve performance.
• Set, monitor and review maintenance and calibration KPIs using performance data.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration and asset records.
• Coordinate approved subcontractors and work with production, inspection and quality teams.
• Manage day-to-day team administration including holidays, absences and overtime.
• Ensure all activities comply with procedures, quality standards and HSE requirements.
