Job summary

Oliver Valves is seeking a Quality & Maintenance Team Leader in Knutsford to lead and coordinate QA and maintenance activities. The role focuses on calibration scheduling, asset management, and ensuring safety and quality across production outputs.

You will manage calibration, maintenance planning and KPI-driven improvements, while supervising technicians and coordinating with subcontractors to uphold high standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Practical understanding of calibration systems and processes.
• Knowledge of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Understanding of asset management and equipment maintenance systems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Clear communication with colleagues and external subcontractors.
• Good IT skills and thorough record keeping.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Experience monitoring performance measures and identifying improvements.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and prioritise work for the QA Technician and Maintenance Technician.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Manage internal and subcontracted calibration activities to keep equipment within calibration periods.
• Maintain the asset register and identify inspection, calibration, maintenance and legislative needs for new equipment.
• Monitor equipment reliability and availability to reduce breakdowns.
• Set and review maintenance and calibration KPIs using data to drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration and asset records.
• Coordinate approved subcontractors and work with production, inspection and quality teams.
• Manage day-to-day team administration including holidays, absences and overtime.
• Ensure activities comply with procedures, quality standards and HSE requirements.
