Oliver Valves in Knutsford is seeking a Quality & Maintenance Team Leader to guide the QA and maintenance activities on site. You will coordinate calibration, asset management, and maintenance plans while ensuring safe practices and regulatory compliance.

Aufgaben

• Allocate and prioritise work for the QA Technician and Maintenance Technician.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient work with minimal disruption.
• Manage internal and subcontracted calibration activities to keep equipment in calibration.
• Maintain the asset register and identify inspection, calibration, maintenance and legislative needs for new equipment.
• Monitor equipment reliability and availability, identify opportunities to reduce breakdowns and improve performance.
• Set, monitor and review maintenance and calibration KPIs using data to drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration and asset records.
• Coordinate approved subcontractors and work with production, inspection and quality teams.
• Manage day-to-day team administration including holidays, absence records and overtime.
• Ensure activities comply with procedures, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Role: Quality & Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am till 5pm. 40 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Allocate and prioritise work for the QA Technician and Maintenance Technician.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.
• Manage internal and subcontracted calibration activities to ensure equipment remains within its required calibration period.
• Maintain the asset register and identify inspection, calibration, maintenance and legislative requirements for new equipment.
• Monitor equipment reliability and availability, identifying opportunities to reduce breakdowns and improve performance.
• Set, monitor and review maintenance and calibration KPIs, using performance data to drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration and asset records.
• Coordinate approved subcontractors and work closely with production, inspection and quality teams.
• Manage day-to-day team administration, including holidays, absence records, return-to-work interviews and justified overtime requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, quality standards and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

No two days are exactly the same, and as a Maintenance Operative, you’ll be right at the heart of what we do.

What You’ll Bring

We’re not expecting you to know everything from day one—full training is provided for every workshop operative. That said, it would be great if you:

• A practical understanding of calibration systems and processes.
• Knowledge of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• An understanding of asset management and equipment maintenance systems.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues and external subcontractors.
• Good IT skills and a thorough approach to record keeping.
• An understanding of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Experience of monitoring performance measures and identifying improvements.
