Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group is seeking a Quality Inspector in Poole to own inspection standards using advanced automated measurement equipment. You will ensure accuracy and drive quality improvements, with a focus on first-off, roving and final inspections of components and assemblies.

The role offers an ability to shape product quality through technical expertise, liaising across departments and contributing to data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and terminology.
• Confident using callipers, micrometers, height gauges and shadowgraphs.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Awareness of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Conducting first-off, roving and final inspections of components and assemblies.
• Creating and maintaining programs and processes for automated measurement equipment.
• Liaising with other departments on engineering issues and contributing to technical discussions.
• Segregating defective parts, then reviewing and collating inspection data.
• Reporting regularly on tasks and productivity, flagging issues early.
• Upholding H&S, quality and housekeeping standards, with general admin support.
