Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial in Alcester is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure high-precision metal components meet stringent aerospace, defence, and power generation standards.

You will perform inspections with 3D optical scanners and CMM, read engineering drawings, and maintain the inspection database. The role includes late shifts and requires strong teamwork and attention to detail.

The working environment is clean and modern with on-site parking and regular staff events.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• CAD knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Team player with aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D optical scanners.
• Carry out 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques.
• Populate the inspection database with all relevant dimensions.
• Sentence parts inspected on optical (Keyence, Scan, OGP) and CMM.
• Support internal non-conformance process – raise rejects and ensure containment.
• Liaise with engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products.
• Complete FAIR packs.

Job description

The company are a manufacturer in Alcester manufacturing high-precision fabricated and machined metal components, for the aerospace, defence, and power generation industries.

They are seeking to recruit a Quality Inspector for their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D Optical scanners
• Performing 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques
• Population of the inspection database with all relevant dimensions
• Sentencing of all parts inspected on optical (Keyence, Scan, OGP) and CMM
• Supporting the internal non conformance process - raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured
• Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth transition of new products
• Completion of FAIR packs

Required Skills & Experience:

• Must be familiar with quality control procedures and standards and have held a quality control role in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings
• CAD knowledge
• Strong communication skills and an attention to detail
• Strong team player
• An advantage would be to hold experience of the aerospace industry

The role is Lates - Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am - Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30pm
