Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited are currently seeking a Quality Inspector (Mechanical) to join a precision engineering workshop in Gloucester. You will inspect bespoke marine and oil & gas components using CMM software, micrometres, callipers and gauges, ensuring records of inspections and test results are accurate.

This role offers a days-based pattern with early finish on Fridays, training and progression opportunities, and optional overtime.

Qualifications

Are you a Quality Inspector from a precision engineering background looking for a role offering a chance to inspect bespoke marine and oil & gas metal components with a great work life balance and an early finish on Fridays?

This leading precision machining company manufactures key metal components to mainly Marine / Oil and Gas companies however will supply to any industry. After 61 years they are still growing and are looking for a CNC Programmer to join their tight-knit workshop.

In this role you will be responsible for using CMM measuring software to conduct inspections and performing precision measurements. You will also be using micrometres, callipers and gauges, and working closely with engineering team to maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and related documents.

This role would suit someone who has a background working in an ISO9001 environment as a Quality Inspector who is looking for company benefits and working with high precision manufacturing.

The Role:

• Identify and document defects
• Maintain accurate records of inspections

Monday - Thursday (7am-4pm) and 12pm finish on Fridays

Plenty of optional overtime available

Biannual company bonus based on company profits

The Person:

• Quality Inspector or similar
• Experience with CMM machines
• Willing to commute to workshop in Gloucester
