Job summary

ALPLA UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a diligent QA/Lab Technician to support production by handling shift handovers and communicating the status of current non-conformances.

You will conduct CCP verification, supply and verify correct defect test pieces, confirm specifications and documentation, record data in CAQ, perform laboratory testing, and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping. You will also perform any other duties aligned with the role and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift handover meetings communicating the current situation and status of open non-conformances (fault notes & isolations) which they have been involved in during the shift.
• Conduct CCP verification checks.
• Supply and verify the correct defect test pieces to production lines and ensure they are collected back at the end of a production run.
• Confirm the appropriate specifications and documentation is in place and being completed correctly.
• Accurately record data in the electronic quality databases system (CAQ) - Where failings are identified escape to Management for investigation before the end of the shift.
• Conduct laboratory based analytical testing, as required to support material or colour changes during evenings
• To carry out diligently those duties as requested by the management in accordance with good Health and Safety and quality and food safety practices.
• To ensure that laboratory and Quality station housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
• To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may, from time to time be reasonably required and which are consistent with the "Main Purpose of the job"
